About the event :

The “Our Olympic” program is an unprecedented, nation-wide cultural initiative for promoting the 2008 Beijing Olympics and related activities in China. The program is strongly supported by the official Olympic Games Organizing Committee along with 8 Ministries from the China Central Government. As part of the “Our Olympic” promotion initiative, the purpose of “Our Digital Olympics” is to allow Chinese citizens from all walks of life to unleash the spirit of competition by participating in a series of E-sports and TV game tournaments with fellow citizens across the country, be they miles apart or just living next door. The program has already been approved by the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) and will be organized by China Internet Gaming (CIG), the leading organizing for e-sports in China.
